I've been to Cesar a few times now, and each visit continues to impress. The level of consistency, creativity, and care they put into every dish is truly remarkable. The two Michelin stars are well deserved. This time, the wine pairing stood out even more—absolutely superb. Each pour elevated the courses and brought out new layers of flavor. The service is warm, knowledgeable, and never pretentious. A dining experience that feels both refined and personal. Can’t wait to return...!

I had a wonderful experience at Cesar. Every dish was full of flavor, with a great balance of aroma, texture, and taste. They also suggested a drink that paired perfectly with the meal, which I really enjoyed. Each course made me look forward to the next. The interior was stylish and cool, and being able to see the kitchen added to the atmosphere. The service was warm and attentive throughout. I’d love to come back again.

Cesar Ramirez is an artist. The level of meticulous detail, stunning dish compositions, mastery of flavor profiles, and command of the kitchen are on full display here. The service is hyper attentive and vigilant; he certainly has trained his staff well. I’m actually perplexed as to why there are any low ratings for this establishment. I would suggest to follow the rules, educate yourself regarding fine dining, and expect to pay for supplements if you desire them.

Don’t know why there were bad reviews. Cezar was impeccable in every way - food, wine, service and environment. We’ve been to Brooklyn Fare in both Brooklyn and Hudson Yard when Chef Ramirez was there, and we are happy to see that Chef now has his own restaurant.

The Legend Returns. After the well-known dispute between Chef Cesar Ramirez and Chef’s Table at Brooklyn Fare, Chef Ramirez has returned to the scene with his own restaurant, Cesar, in NYC. We visited Chef’s Table many times during Chef Ramirez’s tenure—including on our wedding day—so as soon as Cesar opened, it felt only fitting to celebrate our anniversary there. Our experience at Cesar was outstanding. The chef’s signature dishes, like the uni toast and shaved ice, are still present and just as exceptional as ever, while the appetizers now showcase exciting new innovations. The food continues to stand out among all the Michelin-starred restaurants we’ve tried. We sincerely hope Chef Ramirez will regain his three Michelin stars soon.

We had the most incredible time tonight celebrating my boyfriend’s 30th birthday! Our waitress was amazing, she was so kind and knowledgeable about all the dishes. She even had a little happy birthday cake sent out for him which I didn’t have to request beforehand and we loved!! We had an amazing time and each course was a delicious as the next. Such a wonderful night, so much love and thanks to the chef and the whole team. Would highly recommend.

I don’t say this lightly because I am lucky to have eaten at a lot of incredible places, but wow, this has to be the best meal I have ever had. The food is creative and inventive without pushing the envelope so far that the food gets lost, skillful but not conservative. You can tell that every course is so thoughtfully designed but not overwrought. The flavors are truly incredible and combinations are a delight. Each course is artwork, beautifully presented and most importantly, SO DELICIOUS. Chef Cesar Ramirez clearly demands perfection because every course was fantastic without exception. From beginning to end, the service is exquisite, everyone is so kind and professional and knowledgeable. The inside decor and ambiance is also lovely and very well thought out. We had an amazing time and what a wonderful memory for us. There seems to be dishes that are a signature and some that get changed up and we loved it all. Good for groups, special occasions, and also saw a number of people eating here on their own. I can’t wait to go back and would definitely eat here on my own, it’s that good.

Ambience & Setting This was hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. Every element of the space—from the lighting and seat placement to the flatware and even the restroom—spoke of thoughtful design and meticulous care. Guests are seated at precise angles so they can observe the open kitchen, watching the chefs work with calm precision. Service & Hospitality What made the evening even more memorable was the personal touch. The chef himself walked over mid-meal, introduced himself, and warmly greeted each guest with a handshake. He asked if we were enjoying the experience, and the sincerity was striking. Food & Presentation Seafood lovers will be thrilled by the menu, which showcases the chef’s mastery over fresh, delicate ingredients. My personal highlight—shown in the second photo—was a sublime dish combining uni and caviar, layered with a subtle smokiness that took the flavor to another level. I was in awe for the entire meal. Execution & Teamwork Every dish was a piece of art: beautifully plated, technically refined, and full of character. What’s even more impressive? The kitchen team is surprisingly small. The fact that they execute such a sophisticated and consistent experience speaks volumes about their synergy and dedication.
